Naturally, everybody, with time, gets bored with routines. So we had to spice things up a lil bit today. For kids, it's all about fun and that's what they got today.
We started with a one on one games. As the kids kept coming we progressed to a dribbling game. We call it knock-the-ball-out drill (pic. 1). In this game we have the one kid attack the others and knock their balls out. If he loses his ball, another player is selected to take his place.
Another part of this game is everybody knocking another's ball out. The last man standing wins. They really loved it.
Benefit of this drill is enhancing their ball-handling skills while having fun. A lot more is involved which we cannot speak of.
Next is the 3x3 game. We had about 3-4 teams playing. The kids did well with passing, shooting and others.
The special thing is that, their very own, Emma(1st from left in pic. 2) was their coach/supervisor today. He monitored the knock-the-ball-out game and the 3x3 games.
We then had a meeting session. In the meeting, the boys had an interchange of encouragement. Every play was acknowledged and compliments were directed to the appropriate recipients.
We couldn't write much here …. But we all know it was fun. And Fun it will always be.
