Do you agree she had the BEEF. Well, not all of us yet. But let us continue with the reading. Perhaps we will come to agree with it.

With my bare eyes, I saw her, accompanied by Sedinam, fetch the ball in her yellow skirt and white top to the court. She plucked up the courage to pick up a ball and started dribbling as she on few occasions, yet this time with an unusual vigor.

She wanted to Learn shooting. She started with this dynamic warmup (jogging around the court, repeated flexing of the wrist, arms raised high and low, arm moved sideways, up and down, and also some light skipping) to get her muscles prepared for the task ahead. How sportsmanlike of her.(fig.1 )

She then picked up the ball. We went through the theory with her(the BEEF shooting way). And then a demonstration of the technique. She followed suit.

Before she shoots the ball, Aseye  checked her BALANCE. Here,as a right handed player, she places her right foot slightly ahead of the left foot. Point his right toes slightly inside while keeping both feet shoulder widths apart. This stuff is necessary, one could miss 80% of shot without proper balance.

Next, she gets her ELBOW flexed to get about 90 degree angle(L-SHAPE). Also, she bends her wrist back a lil in front of her face(at times bossom). She still had the ball in his finger-pads and finger-tips. She knows the ball never rest on the palm so she could get a good feel of the ball.

Her EYES locked on the target(the hoop) she pushed the ball up and forward, flexed her wrist forward to enhance the spin and release the ball with a fashionable arc into the hoop.

Here comes the FOLLOW THROUGH. It was that very art of the hand following the ball after it has been released. Most times one will see it as reaching for a cookie in cookie jar. And Aseye did almost exactly that after she released  the ball and followed with hand.

It was her first time. And she did excellent. (Fig.2)
